When Lalli Consulting Engineers were engaged by the project manager to work on Pentanet’s new Peth Technology Hub at St Georges Terrace we said Yes!!

The scope was brief….mount a supersized 12m2, 500kg LED panel to the facade of the existing multi-level structure with minimal disruption to the existing structure and internal fitout...easy right.

We carried out site inspections and liaised directly with the builder and project manager to come up with a concept of a supporting frame with minimal visual impact fixed to the existing shade structures.

Following on from these meetings and inspections, we designed and detailed the frame’s members and connections ready for building approval and fabrication. This also involved a back-analysis of the existing facade structure to ensure it could support the additional loads
