Today we want to talk about attention to detail. It’s something we really do pride ourselves on. It is our engineering drawing detail that sets us apart and has done for 30 years. Attention to detail, for us, can be the difference between a client spending many more thousands of dollars or saving many thousands of dollars. It can be the difference between long construction delays (and a damaged builders reputation), and a project delivered on-time and on-budget. Basically, it’s the small things that make a big difference.

It doesn’t happen by accident.

The work culture at Lalli’s is one of openness and professional collaboration. Engineers talking to the drafting team and drafting team talking to the builders and every line of communication in-between. Communication is key. If everyone on our team and everyone on our clients team knows exactly what the objective is, the risk of missing details is drastically reduced. When you work with us, you know that you have a direct line to the people you already know by name. 

We select the best people. From our most senior engineers and drafts people to our newest members, each one of them are a cut above. From Mike Lalli, who has built his reputation over 40 years, to our newest Drafts Person, Laureen Engelhardt, who last year was awarded the International Student of the Year 2020 award at North Metropolitan TAFE, Lalli Consulting Engineers is packed with top talent. 

We invest in ourselves. Whether it be on-going training and development, or the implementing the latest design software, we’re always looking at ways to improve the quality of our documentation. 

We don’t outsource. One of the best ways to ensure proper attention to detail, is to keep projects in-house. This might seem obvious, but there are plenty of firms out there that don’t work to these standards.
