New data from Master Builders shows the cost of building a new home in WA is now about 95–96% higher than in 2019, the biggest escalation in the country. A home that cost $300,000 to build in 2019 would now be closer to $570,000–$586,800, so every inefficient detail or over‑designed element has a much larger impact on your budget than it did a few years ago.
